Tall grass and Unicorns.

Sorry I’ve been a little awol, however in my travelling there have been times when I’ve been without that precious commodity, WiFi access. It’s ok, I’m recovering from the pain and anguish, in fact it’s actually quite refreshing to be looking at the scenery and engaging with my mates without distraction. The scenery has indeed been delightful, and due to some advice akin to that given years back to Bill Bryson (“OOooh, I wouldn’t be takin’ the A40!”), I have been traversing some idyllic green and pleasant countryside of middle England, getting myself acquainted with pigs and ducks in the back of farmyards, and giggling at the names of the villages and the absurdity of the narrow and winding lanes.

Finally I’m all WiFi-ed up and catching up with some messages and I came across this post on Facebook. I really don’t think I need to add anything to this link. It’s such a good read, especially for the Gen Ys out there. So I’ll zip up and leave this pearl with you. Enjoy!

I heard myself saying this to a despondent young man the other day, and wondered how helpful I was being. Oh dear, questioning my own tips might be a troublesome habit, however it does serve to galvanise me into action to check on my sources and ponder the idiom.
